The Entrepreneurial Spirit Is Alive and Well

This book can catapult anyone thinking about starting a business into actually putting in the work and making it happen. Unlike those only-believe-and-it-will-all-be-perfect books, though, this one is as real as keeping your tax records and taking inventory. It's about serious business that's also possible business, doable business, and successful business. Dudell draws on guidance from the TV Sharks to make this the guide for any entrepreneur in any kind of business at any point in the process. In addition to its self-help aspect, I found Shark Tank Jump Start Your Business inspiring and even a little bit patriotic. The 'job at the plant' and a gold watch at the end is no longer the way to the American dream. Creatively crafting your own talents and interests into a lucrative business is the way of things today. And when you think about it, that's a more satisfying dream anyway.

I love the Shark Tank and all of the Sharks, but this book does not deliver. It offers some basic and superficial advice for prospective business owners. This book is a waste of time for anyone who knows anything about business. It is well written and would be a great book for anyone who watches the show and has a vague pipe dream of starting a business "some day" and has never read anything about the topic. Other than that it is not worth the time. Good news is that it is well priced and im only out a few bucks.

Get the idea. I was hoping the book would be MORE from the sharks and LESS from the author, but no. This is just a lot of public domain articles about business, interspersed with what the author calls, "Shark Bites." And by that he means short quotes.
I listened to the Unabridged audio book - all five hours. It was really bad and had very little info from the sharks.
SAVE YOUR MONEY. Skip this one.
